Did you know that the candle burning in your bedroom may be bad for the health of our planet?
Traditional paraffin wax used for making candles is a petroleum derivative – meaning it’s made from oil, coal, or shale – that has to be mined and processed before being transformed into paraffin.
Extracting and processing these finite resources is not sustainable, especially when we consider that the demand for products that use our dwindling supply of petroleum is rising, not falling.
The planet needs a rest, and we at Nature’s Gifts International believe it’s time to lift up the best alternatives.
Over the past two decades, it is easy to see why soy wax has climbed the ranks as an alternative to paraffin wax. Because it is made from soybeans, it is a sustainable, renewable resource available right here in the United States.
Using our soy wax, EcoSoya®, not only supports farms and workers in the United States, but also contributes to the overall health of our planet. NGI’s soy wax is also Kosher certified and supports our commitment to providing products that are good for both people and the environment.
We create our EcoSoya soy wax using pure, natural soybean oil from soybeans grown in the United States. After separating the oil from the soybeans, the oil is purified and put through a hydrogenation process that changes the oil from a liquid to a solid by raising its melting point.
Our process creates a unique premium product that is only available from NGI. The final product is natural, renewable and 100 percent aligned with our commitment to produce environmentally friendly products.
Other benefits of using our EcoSoya soy wax include:
- It is derived from a natural resource that is non-toxic to burn
- It has a cooler burning temperature that helps avoid wax burns
- It is easily cleaned from surfaces with warm water and soap
- It has a consistent scent throw
